About Barr Buzz Honey

Barr Buzz Honey began with a simple idea: share real honey with our community the way nature intended. What started with our first queen bee, Queen Barrbara, has grown into a local effort focused on quality, stewardship, and supporting the work of dedicated beekeepers in the Waller County, Texas area.

The name Barr Buzz comes from both family and the hive. “Barr” reflects the family behind the brand, while “Buzz” represents the life of the colony—the steady work of honeybees gathering nectar, building comb, and producing one of nature’s most remarkable foods. At the heart of it all is Queen Barrbara, the first queen of our hive and the inspiration behind the name and the mission.

Barr Buzz Honey is more than just one hive. It represents a coalition of local beekeepers in the Waller County area who share a commitment to responsible beekeeping and producing authentic honey. By working together, we are able to provide locally harvested honey while supporting the beekeeping community that helps sustain pollinators and agriculture across our region.

Our honey is raw, unfiltered, and never heated. The bees are not supplemented with sugar water during production, meaning the honey you receive is exactly what the bees create from the nectar of local blossoms. Each jar preserves the natural enzymes, pollen, aroma, and rich golden flavor that make real honey so special.

Because it is truly natural, every batch may vary slightly in color and taste depending on the season and the flowers the bees visit. Crystallization may also occur over time, which is a natural sign of pure, unprocessed honey.

At Barr Buzz Honey, our goal is simple:
bring authentic local honey from the hive to your home while supporting the beekeepers and pollinators that make it possible.

From the fields and wildflowers of the Waller County, Texas area, to your table—this is honey the way it was meant to be.
